Abstract
A defocus convergent-beam electron diffraction (CBED) method is propos ed to determine the six-dimensional Burgers vectors of dislocations in quasicrystals and to differentiate the strong and weak extinction con ditions. Compared with the diffraction-contrast-image method, the defo cus CBED method is much simpler, clearer, and more effective and power ful.
