Abstract
Reactivity of sodium borohydride with olefins in the presence of NiLnC l2 (where L = 2,2 bipyridyl, pyridine, triphenyl phosphine) has been s tudied. Hydrogenation as well as hydroboration on olefins is observed. Nitrogen donor ligands favour hydroboration on olefins when a nickel borohydride system is used.
