Bj. Kowalski et al., SURFACE RELATED ELECTRONIC STATES ON CDTE(110) OBSERVED BY MEANS OF OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY, Acta Physica Polonica. A, 88(5), 1995, pp. 1005-1009
Surface differential reflectivity together with photoemission and Auge
r electron spectroscopies have been applied to observe and identify op
tical transitions among surface related states on CdTe(110) surfaces.
The strongest contributions to the band of optical transitions have be
en revealed at the photon energies of 2.8, 3.4, and 3.9 eV. Their corr
espondence to excitations from the occupied SI band to the unoccupied
U1 one at the Gamma, X and X' points of the surface Brillouin zone is
discussed.
