Assessment of symptom severity and change in chronic hairpulling has b een limited by the absence of a psychometrically validated clinical ra ting scale. The Massachusetts General Hospital Hairpulling Scale demon strated test-retest reliability, convergent and divergent validity, an d sensitivity to change in hairpulling symptoms.
