SYNTHESIS, AND STRUCTURE OF A COMPLEX OF BISMUTH(III) WITH A NITROGENDONOR MACROCYCLE

The synthesis and structure of the first example of a bismuth(III) com plex of a nitrogen donor macrocycle is reported, with the pendant-dono r cyclen-based tetraaza macrocycle rakis[(S)-2-hydroxypropyl]-1,4,7,10 -tetraazacyclo- dodecane; the complex is eight-coordinate with approxi mately square antiprismatic coordination geometry.
