Abstract
Pentacarbonyltungsten-coordinated selenobenzaldehydes, (CO)(5)W[Se=C(C (6)H(4)R-p)H](R = OMe, H, CF3), react with Bu(t)S-C drop C-SBu(t) by a ddition of the C drop C to the Se=C bond to give 2H-selenete complexes ; treatment of the;selenete complex (R=H) with NEt(4)Br affords the un coordinated 2H-selenete and a 3,4-dihydro-1,2-diselenine.
