Abstract
Plasma torches are used in a variety of different applications includi ng forming corrosion and wear resistant coatings, near net shape manuf acture, and production of metal matrix composites. A low order nonline ar dynamic model of the induction plasma deposition process has been d eveloped and analyzed to obtain insight into developing an appropriate control structure.
