TERNARY COMPOUNDS BINDING-ENERGIES FROM ATOMIC CLUSTER CALCULATIONS

A recently proposed method for obtaining a priori reliable estimates o f bulk binding energies from LDA calculations on small atomic clusters is here extended to chalcopyrites. The results appear in very good ag reement with experimental data, thus commending the method to anyone i nterested in systematic studies on these compounds.
