Heat capacity of PrCo2Si2 is reported. This compound exhibits complica
ted magnetic phase transitions with increasing temperature, first from
the commensurate structure with a wavevector Q1 = (0, 0, 1) to a high
-order commensurate structure with Q2 = (0, 0, 13/14) at T1 = 9.6 K an
d to a structure with Q3 = (0, 0, 7/9) at T2 = 16.4 K and then to a pa
ramagnetic state at T3 = 29.7 K (= T(N)). Magnetic contribution to the
heat capacity has been evaluated in terms of the molecular field calc
ulations including the crystal-field interaction.
