The phase diagram of the semimagnetic system (MnTe)1-x-(Ga2Te3)x has b
een determined from SEM, DTA, X-ray and EDS investigations. It has bee
n found that a miscibility gap exists for x<0.50, while for x greater-
than-or-equal-to 0.50 compositions the two chalcogenides form, at high
temperature, a complete solid solution. A structural characterization
of the adamantine phase MnGa2Te4 is also reported.
