In this paper we examine the reported comparisons between theoretical
and experimental results for the ratio between the Lyman-alpha line fi
ne-structure components of the hydrogenlike ions Ti XXIV, Cr XXIV, and
Ni XXVIII, observed in tokamak plasmas. We also present a table of ca
lculated Lyman-alpha doublet intensity ratios for these ions for a bro
ad range of plasma temperatures and densities.
