Pk. Liu et al., 2 MECHANISMS IN A RELATIVISTIC ELECTRON-CYCLOTRON MASER WITH A SPECIAL QUASI-OPTICAL CAVITY, Chinese Physics Letters, 12(10), 1995, pp. 597-600
In a relativistic electron cyclotron maser with an axisymmetrical quas
ioptical cavity of oblique rotation at arbitrary angle, the rotating a
ngle has a great influence on beam-wave interaction. Two different phy
sical mechanisms are found with the rotating angle ranging from 0 degr
ees to 90 degrees. One is cyclotron auto-resonance maser regime for sm
all angle, with small optimized external magnetic field; the other is
electron cyclotron resonance maser regime for large angle, with compar
atively large optimized magnetic field.
