Spin-adducts of boron-centered radicals, derivatives of m-carboran-12,
with fullerenes C-60 and C-70 have been studied by ESR spectroscopy.
Constants of hyperfine splitting (HFS) of an unpaired electron with B-
10 and B-11 nuclei have been determined from the ESR spectra of C-.(60
)-B10H9C2H2 radicals. Three isomeric spin-adducts were detected with d
ifferent HFS constants with B-11, and g-factors were detected in the r
eaction of (B10H9C2H2)-B-. With C-70.
