Abstract
Using a nonlinear model, the dynamic response of multistorey reinforce d concrete box tubes subjected to torsion is predicted and the effect of variations in the material strengths of steel and concrete are stud ied. It is found that normal variations in both concrete strength and steel yielding stress can significantly affect the twisting angles and torques in four- and eight-storey box tubes.
