Abstract
Low-resolution mass spectra, and where appropriate complete high-resol ution mass spectra, were recorded for 29 2,3-disubstituted 4-quinazolo nes. Rationalizations are presented for the principal fragmentation mo des of this series of aromatic compounds, Four of the 4-quinazolones w hich contain a vinyl-2-furanyl group attached to C-2 of the heterocycl ic ring exhibited an unusual loss of C3H2O from their respective molec ular ions.
