An. Rubinov et Yv. Kostenich, COMPARISON OF REFRACTIVE AND THERMOOPTIC PARAMETERS OF SOLID-STATE ACTIVE MEDIA OF RECONSTRUCTED LASERS, Doklady Akademii nauk BSSR, 38(1), 1994, pp. 31-35
The refractive index n and its temperature variation dn/dT were invest
igated in dye-doped expoxipolymer, LiF : F2 color centres and micropor
ous quartz glass activated by dyes in different ways. Those were compa
red with ethanol dye solutions. The method of-generation wavelength me
asuring was used to determine n and measuring of temperature dependenc
e to obtain dn/dT. It is shown that the method has advantage of exclud
ing the errors produced by the optical inhomogeneities of solid state
matrices. It was also investigated how the part of pump energy being d
issipated in active medium during the exitation pulse, influences the
refractive index. It is shown that microporous quartz glass doped with
dye activated epoxypolymers has the best thermooptical parameters.
