Abstract
The cause of the development of myomas is unclear and the relationship of myomas to infertility is poorly understood. Uterine myomas represe nt an isolated potential contributory cause of infertility, and multif actorial infertility is common. This article focuses on the relationsh ip between myomata uteri and infertility, the mechanisms by which myom as may cause infertility, current treatment modalities, and subsequent pregnancy rates.
