The purpose of this study was to investigate whether socioeconomic sta
tus, social support systems, self-esteem, family environment, and leng
th of time as a single parent were associated with the general well-be
ing of female single parent college students (n = 51). Statistically s
ignificant relationships were found between social support systems, se
lf-esteem, family environment, and the general well-being of the subje
cts.
