In this paper, the Dynamic Master Logic Diagram (DMLD) is introduced f
or representing the time-dependent behavior of complex physical system
s (feedback, time-lagged dependency, autocorrelation, trend, etc.). Ex
perts may decompose a complex system hierarchically, and model the dyn
amic behavior of its subsystems and components separately from each ot
her. A DMLD is a hierarchical structure which enables a user to decomp
ose a dynamic system into dynamically stable and independent subsystem
s. Using a DMLD, degree of success (or failure), approximate full-scal
e system physical values, and transition effects in the system can be
used. An example of using DMLD for controlling a dynamic system is pre
sented.
