This study identifies the demand for distributional impact assessment
related to forest policies and projects and the linkages between distr
ibutional impacts and sustainable development. An integrated model is
developed to assess distributional impact of forest policies and proje
cts. The procedures of distributional impact assessment are discussed
Emphasis is placed on the usefulness of the model in practice by integ
rating monetary and nonmonetary measures. The distributional impacts o
f the introduction of structural particleboard technology are assessed
to illustrate the use of the model. The results show that useful info
rmation can be obtained by this integrated approach.
