G. Fremy et al., A NEW, HIGHLY SELECTIVE, WATER-SOLUBLE RHODIUM CATALYST FOR METHYL ACRYLATE HYDROFORMYLATION, Journal of organometallic chemistry, 505(1), 1995, pp. 11-16
Hydroformylation of methylacrylate to alpha-aldehyde can be achieved i
n a two-phase system in the presence of two new water-soluble phosphin
es. High yields and selectivities of alpha-aldehyde (ca. 80% with a al
pha/beta ratio of 1:20) were obtained. Spectroscopic studies have been
carried out and some new rhodium complexes formed in situ in catalyti
c systems have been identified.
