A systematic pathway of fragmentation for several protonated cyclohexa
depsipeptides is demonstrated by positive-ion fast-atom bombardment li
nked-scan mass spectrometry. It involves classical sequential acylium
and immonium ions, but also, unusual fragment ions characteristic of t
his family of compounds.
