Ii. Vointseva et al., CHEMICAL DEHYDROCHLORINATION OF POLYTRICHLOROBUTADIENES - A NEW ROUTETO CARBYNES, European Polymer Journal, 32(1), 1996, pp. 61-68
The chemical dehydrochlorination of polytrichlorobutadiene isomers, vi
z. poly(I,1,2-trichlorobutadiene) and poly(1,2,3-trichlorobutadiene) h
as been studied as a possible route to carbyne. The structure of the r
eaction products has been studied by IR, XPS, and Auger electron spect
roscopy. The dehydrochlorination of poly(1,1,2- and 1,2,3-trichlorobut
adiene) has been shown to result in the formation of the polyyne and c
umulene forms of carbyne, respectively.
