Abstract
The preparation and characterization of the 1:1 inclusion compound of rhodium(II) alpha-methyl cinnamate in beta-cyclodextrin is reported, E vidence of inclusion was obtained from X-ray powder diffraction result s, Raman, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic studies and thermal analysis. Gi ven the potential antitumor activity of the rhodium(II) carboxylate an d its virtual insolubility in water, its inclusion in beta-cyclodextri n opens the possibility for its transference to the aqueous phase.
