Abstract
The needles of the European yew, Taxus baccata, yielded two new analog
ues oi 10-deacetylbaccatin III, identified as 13-dpi-10-deacetylbaccat
in in III [4] and 2-debenzoyl-2-tigloyl-10-deacetylbaccatin III [5]. T
he crystal structure of baccatin III [6], corresponding to the terpeno
id core of paclitaxel, was determined.
