Sj. Sangwine, EXPERIENCES WITH HIGH-LEVEL DESIGN AND MODELING OF DIGITAL-SYSTEMS, International Journal of Electrical Engineering Education, 32(4), 1995, pp. 333-340
Design and modelling of digital systems has been taught at the Univers
ity of Reading for six years, using Silvar-Lisco HELIX and lately IEEE
Standard VHDL hardware description languages. Three exercises have be
en used throughout this time. These are: modelling of a multiplier-acc
umulator, design and modelling of a transversal filter, and specificat
ion-level modelling of a FIFO.
