A LASER SYSTEM FOR POLLUTION DETECTION

Pollution detection was made for various water samples and industrial material specimens by using a laser detection system. In this paper, t he developed laser system was used to measure the absorbance and parti cle quantity of water samples and the reflectivity of polished and unp olished industrial specimens. This system is also designed to operate as a range finder based on the principle of continuous amplitude modul ation (100 MHz) of the light intensity and the determination of phase difference between the transmitted and the received signals.
