Abstract
The final results of a parallax program carried out with the 1.5 m tel escope on Palomar Mountain are presented, Astrometry has been obtained for 34 very low-mass (VLM) stars, one white dwarf, and a serendipitou sly discovered proper motion star, Sixteen of these stars have new (or improved) parallaxes and proper motions, and a further eighteen have proper motions alone. Common proper motions have also been determined for two VLM binary systems; GD 165AB and TVLM 513-42404AB. The latest atmospheric and interior models for low-mass stars are combined to pro duce isochrones in the observational M(K): I-K plane, Remarkable agree ment is seen between both the solar metallicity and low metallicity mo dels, and the observed low-mass sequences.
