A nonlinear amplifying loop mirror (NALM) is here proposed as a good c
andidate for amplification of dark solitons in fiber-optic communicati
on systems. Simulations show the restoration of the dark-soliton contr
ast ratio using the proposed technique. The same proposed scheme can a
