Abstract
291 kittens, vaccinated against panleucopaenia, influenza and leukaemi a, received an intranasal vaccine comprising a temperature sensitive F IP virus (Primucell FIP), One cat (0.34%) died within one year and exh ibited clinical and pathological changes of FIP. During the same perio d 1.35% of cats which had not been vaccinated against FIP, but had bee n vaccinated against the other three diseases, died of FIP. This retro spective study also indicated owners of less than five breeding cats w ere more willing to vaccinate their cats against FIP than the larger p rofessional cat breeders.
