Abstract
Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DT A) of Egyptian linen and chemically treated linen fibres, were carried out. The thermal degradation of the samples was found to proceed via three exothermic reactions. The chemical characteristics of the fibres were estimated. The order and the activation energy of each stage wer e estimated.
