Abstract
The issue of labor and employment is a double-edged sword for internat ional entrepeneurs doing business in China. Despite the remarkably low cost of manpower, this issue may present considerable unfamiliarity a nd sophistication. This article provides a first-hand insight into the unique posture of this issue against the special socioeconomic backgr ound of the People's Republic of China (PRC), a comprehensive examinat ion of the fast evolving legal framework, and practical advice to inte rnational investors.
