Abstract
Two new compounds, rel-(7S,8S, ',4'-tetramethoxy-9,7'-dihydroxy-8.8',7 .O.9'-ligan and rel-(7S, 8S, 3',4',7'-pentamethoxy-9-hydroxy-8.8,7.O.9 '-lignan, together with six known 8.8'-linked lignans and one neoligna n were isolated from the flower buds of Magnolia biondii (Magnoliaceae ).
