Abstract
General and partial inhibitive effects of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (2-M BI) derivatives in hydrochloric acid were studied. The 2-MBI derivativ e with p- and o-Cl substitutors in the benzene ring and CH3 in the imi dazole ring was found to be the most effective inhibitor. The results are discussed taking into account the activity of the chelating agents .
