Da. Tkalenko et al., CONCENTRATION CHANGES IN THE NEAR-ELECTRODE LAYER DURING CATHODIC POLARIZATION OF THE OXYGEN-ELECTRODE IN HYDROXIDE MELTS, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 31(11), 1995, pp. 1207-1210
A mathematical model describing mass and charge transfer and chemical
reactions during cathodic polarization of the oxygen electrode in molt
en potassium hydroxide is developed and examined. The concentration pr
ofiles of reagents and reaction products are calculated for different
polarization modes. An increase in basicity of the near-electrode laye
r is quantitatively evaluated.
