Abstract
The isothermal section of the phase diagram of the Cu-Be-Cr (less than or equal to 50 at.% Be) ternary system at 500 degrees C has been inve stigated by X-ray powder diffraction. The isothermal section consists of three single-phase regions (a-Cu, Cr and CuBe), three two-phase reg ions (alpha-Cu+Cr,Cu+CuBe and CuBe+alpha-Cu) and one three-phase regio n (alpha-Cu+ Cr+CuBe). The maximum solubility of Be in alpha-Cu is abo ut 6.6 at.%.
