Abstract
The triterpenes isolated from P. cocos and their derivatives were exam ined for anti-emetic activity. Some of these triterpenes inhibited eme tic action induced by oral administration of copper sulfate pentahydra te to leopard hog. The triterpenes having an exomethylene group at C-2 4 showed anti-emetic activity to frogs.
