Abstract
Two rare alkaloids, 1-(8-N-methylpiperidyl)-butan-2-one (1) and 1-(2-N -methylpiperidyl)pentan-2-one (2), were identified from the medicinal plant Pratia nummularia. The structure of 1 was elucidated by means of spectroscopic methods. Compound 2 was established by spectral compari son with synthetic material.
