Methyl anthranilate was extracted from formulated products and analyze
d by reversed-phase highperformance liquid chromatography. Methyl anth
ranilate was quantified by UV absorbance at 220, 248, and 336 nm. Reco
very data were determined by analyzing methyl anthranilate-fortified b
lank Liquid formulation and rice seed. The mean recovery of methyl ant
hranilate in the microencapsulated formulation was 97.3 +/- 2.4% for t
he range of 7 to 28% methyl anthranilate and 96.1 +/- 6.1% for the ran
ge of 0.020 to 1.00% methyl anthranilate on rice seed.
