R. Savournin et al., THE ELUSIVE FACTOR STRUCTURE OF THE INVENTORY OF INTERPERSONAL PROBLEMS, British Journal of Medical Psychology, 68, 1995, pp. 353-369
This paper reports data on the psychometric properties of the Inventor
y of Interpersonal Problems (IIP; Horowitz, Rosenberg, Baer, Ureno & Y
illasenor, 1988) obtained from a UK inner city sample of 286 out-patie
nt clients presenting for cognitive analytic therapy or treatment in a
sexual dysfunction clinic. The:results are compared with those of Bar
kham, Hardy & Startup (1994): only;moderate replication of their eight
components in the raw data, and four bipolar components from analysis
of ipsatized data were found. Split halves of the data were analysed
and compared in order to explore variables on the component structure.
