Deformation behaviour of pure alpha zirconium and four zirconium tin a
lloys has been investigated in the wide temperature interval from heli
um temperature to 900 K. The temperature and concentration dependencie
s of characteristic stress have been measured. The optical metalograph
y and transmission electron microscopy of undeformed and deformed samp
les were performed. Main mechanisms operating during plastic deformati
on of pure zirconium and also zirconium tin alloys were estimated.
