Abstract
An enantiospecific synthesis of SE 214857, a potent, nonpeptide fibrin ogen receptor antagonist, is reported. The synthetic route employs as a key step an intramolecular aryl fluoride displacement to form the se ven-membered ring of the 1,4-benzodiazepine system.
