Abstract
In this study, tissue fibronectin levels have been assayed in human pr ostatic cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia and normal prostatic tiss ue. The mean tissue fibronectin levels for prostatic cancer, benign pr ostatic hyperplasia and normal groups were found to be 20,22 +/- 7.18 mu g/mg protein, 16.96 +/- 8,66 mu g/mg protein and 11.77 +/- 6.74 mu g/mg protein, respectively. In the malignant group, the mean fibronect in concentrations, appeared to be significantly higher than normal. (p < 0,05). On the other hand, fibronectin levels of benign prostatic hy perplasia were found to be statistically insignificant in comparison t o the normal group (p > 0,05).
