Abstract
The frequency equation for free torsional vibration of a piezoelectric solid cylinder of (622) crystal class is obtained analytically by ope rational methods. The numerical results are obtained for differents va lues of dimensionless wavenumber epsilon. The parameters choosen for t he numerical ilustration of the results belong to human bone.
