Abstract
This work describes the effect of the addition of EPDM to polypropylen e on the mechanical performance of EPDM/PP blends prepared in differen t composition ranges and mixing conditions, and evaluates the effect o n the mechanical properties when controlled degraded polypropylene is added to these blends as a third component. It was found that as the E PDM content increased, the impact strength of EPDM/PP blends increased ; the tensile strength and Young's modulus decreased and the elongatio n increased but showed a slight decrease at 50/50 composition.
