In this paper we use self-consistent field theory to study the adsorpt
ion of diblock copolymers onto small colloidal particles. The particle
s are modeled as spheres and the assumption is made that the adsorptio
n parameter of the adsorbing segments is independent of the particle c
urvature. We find that the adsorbed amount per unit of surface area in
creases with increasing curvature. The hydrodynamic layer thickness de
creases greatly with increasing curvature. The root-mean-square layer
thickness does not vary much when the curvature changes.
