Abstract
New chiral ligands, substituted 7,8-tetrahydro-6,6-dimethyl-5,7-methan oquinolines, were prepared and the catalyzed reaction of diethylzinc w ith benzaldehyde was studied under various conditions to give l-phenyl -l-propanol with up to 91% ee.
