Abstract
This paper describes the current status of Operations Research (OR) pr actice in Greece and the trends and challenges it faces. Educational o pportunities, the profile of OR in both public and private sectors and the specific role of the country's OR society are outlined. Finally, the results of a survey on OR work carried out and presented in Greece during the last ten years are presented and the challenges that OR wi ll face in the future are discussed.
