Abstract
Two nosocomial cases of Legionnaires' disease occurred in children. Le gionella pneumophila serogroup 1 was isolated from both patients and 3 0 of 39 plumbing system sites in the hospital. The patient and hospita l environmental isolates yielded identical field inversion gel electro phoretic patterns which differed from patterns observed with epidemiol ogically unrelated strains.
