Abstract
Results of studies on variations of the critical temperature (T-C) due to the action of high hydrostatic pressure (p) are presented. Studies were conducted in three series of critical solutions composed of a di pole component (nitrobenzene, o-nitrotoluene, 1-nitropropane) and a no n-dipole solvent (n-alkanes). For solutions containing nitrobenzene an d o-nitrotoluene the sign and value of dT(C)/dp depend on the length o f the molecule of n-alkane. Additional studies on dipole-dipole intera ctions between molecules of the dipole components by means of the nonl inear dielectric effect indicate their important influence on dT(C)/dp .
